It’s time!!! Registration for MPDC’s Oktobitefest Protection Tournament is OPEN!!

More details can be found on the registration form, including entry limits for each level (beginner, intermediate and advanced). Just a reminder that this is pre-entry only and we won’t be accepting day of show entries so make sure to sign up early!
Come celebrate Oktoberfest with us, MPDC style! This personal protection tournament will offer 3 levels:
Beginner – $75 registration
- Sleeve only. No leg dogs; if your dog is a leg dog, you must enter Intermediate or Advanced.
- If your dog has earned a title in any bite sport, you must enter Intermediate or Advanced, unless you are running as an audit.
- On leash
- Toys/tugs may be used as a reward
- Food/treats may NOT be used on the field
- Limited to approximately 30 dogs
Intermediate – $100 registration
- Suit only
- Off leash
- Collar with a tab is permitted
- Toys/tugs may NOT be used on the field
- Food/treats may NOT be used on the field
- Limited to approximately 15 dogs
Advanced – $100 registration
- Suit only
- Off leash
- Collars are NOT permitted – the dog must run “naked”
- Toys/tugs may NOT be used on the field
- Food/treats may NOT be used on the field
- Limited to approximately 10 dogs
We have 5 total audit spots available for $65 each. If you audit, you may use any training tools you’d like but you won’t be eligible for placements.

RULES APPLYING TO ALL LEVELS:
- No eCollars allowed on the trial field with the exception of audit spots.
- No alcohol or drugs (legal or otherwise) may be consumed during this trial.
- Do not arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are believed to be intoxicated in any manner, your run(s) will be forfeited and you will be asked to leave without a refund.
- Be a good sport – no arguing with the trial judge, decoys or other competitors.
- We will not tolerate the abuse of dogs.
- If you are witnessed acting aggressively toward other competitors or abusing a dog, you will be asked to leave.
